Beauty or Brain?

If anyone is fortunate enough to be given the choice of both, wouldn't they choose both, as opposed to one or the other?

But if someone were in a position where they had to choose to be with a person of beauty, (and presumably a lackluster intellect) or a person of great intelligence (but quite unattractive), then I suppose it would depend on which qualities they prefer, and whether their choice was made considering the long-term prospects.
Were I in such a situation and I couldn't have both, I’d probably choose someone with a beautiful brain, because there's nothing worse than talking to somebody whose great to look at, but who bores you to the point of disdain ;)
